Rosicrucians, Past and Present, at Home and Abroad [by Westcott] [ & "Historico-Critical Inquiry into the Origins of the Rosicrucians and the Free-Masons” by de Quincey]; an Address to the Soc. Rosic. in Anglia

Mokelumne Hill, CA: Health Research, ND [ 1966 ]. Reprint. Softcover. Octavo. Eccentrically paginated. [ viii + [64pp], viii adverts ]. Stapled pink card covers lettered in black. Two essays in one volume. Oddly the author and title of the second essay are not given on the front cover. "The Rosicrucians, Past and Present, at Home and Abroad" is a short lecture by Westcott that was originally published by the SRIA in 1915. Thomas DeQuincey's "Historico-Critical Inquiry into the Origins of the Rosicrucians and the Free-Masons,” is a longer essay that appears to have been taken from DeQuincey's Works (Tales and Phantasies) edited by David Masson (1897) London. Extremely cheap fanzine type production values. Covers a bit shelf worn and unevenly darkened, pages a little toned and there are just a few pencil marks to text (mainly to adverts at rear). Still a solid serviceable copy of an unusual combination. Item #66441
