Liber III. Vel Jugorum [ Jvgorvm ]. Aleister CROWLEY.

Liber III. Vel Jugorum [ Jvgorvm ].

Berkeley / San Francisco: O.T.O / Stellar Visions, 1981. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. (iv) 4 (iv)pp. Stapled pamphlet. Unbound. The "wrappers" are the same paper as the text, with p. (i) serving as the front wrapper and title-page. One b&w illustration. The first separate US publication of an essay originally published in "The Equinox, Vol. I No. 4," in which Crowley gives "instruction for the control of speech, action and thought." Its republication thus was part of the massive effort which Ebony Anpu and Lotte Lieb undertook in the 1980s to make basic Crowley texts available - a large number of which were then out-of-print. Unlike most of their booklets, this did not have card covers, but with the "wrappers" being printed on the same paper as the text. There is a space on the second page where the astrological aspects of the sun and moon at the time of publication were meant to be filled in by hand - this has not been done. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Cheap production values with some very light creasing to upper cover - but still a fresh clean VG+ copy with just light wear. Item #67702
