The first edition of this well-regarded translation of the Heimskringla, the best known of the Old Norse kings' sagas, originally written in Old Norse in Iceland by the historian Snorre Sturlason (ca. 1178 - 1241). Just a hint of shelf wear, light bruising to spine ends and corners, top edge a bit discoloured, else a tight, internally bright and unmarked VG+ copy in VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket has some light rubbing at folds and edges, light flecking to spine which is also a little faded, price clipped. Now in protective mylar cover.). Item #67867
