This copy SIGNED by the author and inscribed "93 93/93" on the half title page. The first edition of this collection of essays by James A. Eshelman, Chancellor of the College of Thelema, friend and student of Phyllis Seckler and long term adherent of Aleister Crowley. During the period 1997-2002 Eshelman contributed around 100 essays to the College of Thelema’s biannual journal "Black Pearl." This anthology gathers together over 40 of those essays, many of them substantially updated and expanded, as well as some that were previously unpublished. The book comprises a Preface and three introductory essays on Thelema, with the rest of the essays divided into seven main sections: It’s in the Basics; Magick; Qabalah; Thelema; Sexual Mysteries; Holy Guardian Angel; The Path; followed by three Appendicies. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications.
