Item #68420 Magick in Theory and Practice. Aleister CROWLEY, From the David Tibet collection.

Magick in Theory and Practice.

New York: Castle Books, ND. Reprint. Hardcover. Octavo. xxviii + 436pp. Blue textured papered boards with black title, etc. to spine. A hardcover reprint of the Castle edition of Crowley's "Magick in Theory and Practice" ("Book Four, Part III"). This copy from the library of British artist, writer and musician DAVID TIBET (founder of the music group Current 93) with his OWNERSHIP SIGNATURE on the first blank. The original Castle printing was the First US edition of this work, generally described as the Beast's magnum opus, and appears to have been reprinted directly from the 1929 Paris edition. This is a later - probably 1980s - reprint. Cover extremities are a bit darkened and lighty chafed, spine ends bruised, page edges unevenly browned and a bit thumbed, pages a bit browned (as common with this edition), endpapers unevenly browned, else a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket lightly worn at edges, a bit of browning to inner flap edges, not clipped. Now in protective mylar cover). Item #68420
