A nice hardcover reprint which is now somewhat scarce. In this volume, originally published in 1948 as "The Mirror of Magic," Seligmann offers the reader a vivid picture of the most typical religio-magical beliefs of ancient, medieval and modern times. Curiously it was one of the works recommended as "suggested reading" by Australian occultist Rosaleen Norton in her own book "The Art of Rosaleen Norton." Appears unread, thus a tight, clean near Fine copy in VG+ dust jacket. (A tiny bit of chafing and chipping to edges and spine ends, not clipped. Now in protective mylar cover.). Item #68607
