Original green cloth with black lettering to spine, b&w frontis & b&w illustrations (diagrams really) in pocket affixed to rear pastedown and one folding chart bound in (all present). A denunciation of occultism and non-Christian faiths - with a rather virulent anti-semitism throughout. The author took great umbrage at the second congress of the World Fellowship of Faiths, held in London in July 1936, and at any inter-faith dialogue in general, but while he rages against the in the first chapter much of his work is actually devoted to a series of attacks on occult and masonic groups which he feels seek to usurp the position of God. There is a passing reference to Aleister Crowley and John Yarker, with regard to the Rites of Memphis the Rites of Mizraim citing "Occult Theocracy" by Lady Queenborough (Edith Starr Miller). The publisher's address on the title-page has been struck through, and the address of "The Britons Publishing Society" has been stamped below it (the only other copy of the first edition that we've seen was similarly altered). Cloth a bit rubbed overall, spine darkened and discoloured, spine ends and corners bruised and chafed, page edges and endpapers unevenly browned, pages toned but clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean and complete VG copy. (no dust jacket). VERY scarce edition - especially with the loose plates. Item #68790
