Gillette, NJ: Heptangle Books, 1985. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Octavo. xvi + 94pp. Red cloth with printed paper spine label, black and white illustrations, elaborate red decorative border on title page, grey endpapers. A nicely produced edition, printed letterpress on acid-free paper, of these classic seventeenth century occult texts. Published by Daniel Driscoll (1944 - 1990) whose Heptangle imprint was one of the best known pioneers of late twentieth century private press grimoire production. This edition comprises reset versions of two (of the six) books that made up Robert Turner's 1655 first English edition of Agrippa's "Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy." The books are "Of Occult Philosophy or of Magical Ceremonies," by Agrippa (a work renowned as one of the most straight forward guides to evocation published) and "The Heptameron or Magical Elements" by Peter de Abano, (a set of rituals of conjuration, mapped out by day). A bit of light overall shelfwear with a few tiny scattered white spots to covers, page edges a bit darkened. Overall a tight, unmarked VG+ copy (lacks dust jacket). Item #68985
