Psychopathia Sexualis, with especial reference to the Antipathic Sexual Instinct: A Medico-Forensic Study.

NP [ USA ]: Wet Angel Books / Creation Books, 2006. Revised Edition. Softcover. Octavo. 254pp. Color illustrated covers. Krafft-Ebing's monumental study, mostly devoted to case studies and discussion of sexual abnormality and deviance. Perhaps not surprisingly many of the practices he details would now be considered quite normal. Also, not surprisingly, it was a work of which Aleister Crowley was very fond, mentioning it obliquely in his "White Stains." This edition with a new Introduction by Terence Sellers (1952-2016), a New York based writer and artist with an interest in the occult, who worked as a dominatrix. Much of Sellers' work remains unpublished, although her book "The Correct Sadist: The Memoirs of Angel Stern" - a collection of short quasi-fictional "case studies" exploring sado-masochism, bondage, fetishism and so-on - has gone through a number of different small press editions. Appears as new, thus a tight, clean near Fine copy. Item #69272
