The author, William Walker Atkinson (1862 – 1932), was an attorney, occultist, prolific writer and a pioneer of the New Thought movement who had a penchant for writing anonymously or pseudonymously - most famously as Yogi Ramacharaka. The publisher called this work Atkinson's "masterpiece" - as it brings together the content of a number of his earlier works. This volume has a copyright date of 1940, but it is without doubt a more recent reprint, perhaps dating from the 1960s or 1970s. Covers a little rubbed and lightly faded, page edges darkened, top edge foxed, ink stamped flower and a tiny patch of sticker residue on front blank, otherwise a tight, unmarked VG+ copy.
