Charles Webster Leadbeater (1854-1934), was a prominent, if controversial, member of the Theosophical Society, co-founder of the Liberal Catholic Church, and author of many books on Theosophy and various aspects of occultism. The present volume is a study of the mysterious "Masters" who are said to guide Theosophy, the pathways to them, their teachings, etc. Corners and spine ends lightly and chafed, bookshop sticker on front free endpaper, large owner's name on title-page and underlining to the first two dozen pages. Otherwise a tight, solid VG copy in G only dust jacket. (Dust jacket spine faded and with a chip and tear to the head, rubbed at edges and folds, some chipping shorts tears to edges.
