Goetic Evocation; [ previously: "Goetic Evocation. The Magician's Workbook Volume 2" ]

West Yorkshire, UK: Hadean Press, 2022. Second edition [ 25th Anniversary Edition ]. Hardcover. Octavo. 264pp. Bound in scarlet cloth with gilt titling to spine, lettering and sigil on upper board. B&w frontis & illustrations including many sigils and charts, appendices. Edition limited to 500 copies (not numbered), this copy is also SIGNED by the author on the half title page. "Goetic Evocation" was first published in the US in 1996 under the title "Goetic Evocation. The Magician's Workbook Volume 2" having been preceded in 1995 by Savedow's "The Magician's Workbook. A Modern Grimoire" (Samuel Weiser Publishing), which volume was essentially "a beginner's book of ritual magic and astral projection". Of this work, Hadean says "Goetic Evocation was the first (and only) workbook ever specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the popular grimoire known as The Goetia, which is the first book of "The Lesser Key of Solomon". It is an efficient working manual for the ritual magician who is interested in properly practicing the system outlined in The Goetia. Savedow provides detailed instructions for the necessary preparations, as well as the actual performance of the evocations, plus thorough dissections of every portion of The Goetia and a complete explanation of the hierarchy of the Goetic spirits. Also included are transcripts from the author's personal records documenting nine evocations that were performed between the years of 1985 and 1987 (which feature a lengthy interrogation of the spirit Bim), and the results of his extensive experimentation." Includes a new introduction by the author, also the footnotes are presented on the proper page, rather than compiled at the end of the book (as was in the original edition), and the charts and tables have been reformatted. "AS new", thus a tight, bright and unmarked about Fine copy (No dust jacket, none issued). This hardcover edition is out-of-print, and thus is scarce - especially as it is SIGNED by the author.
