Edition limited to 750 hand numbered copies. Originally published in Latin in 1678, The Hermetic Museum was intended as a representative collection of the significant works of alchemy, many of which were rare even then. The translation was prepared for Lord Stafford by an unidentified alchemical scholar and was revised and edited by Waite. It was first published in an edition of 250 copies in 1893 by James Elliott & Co. with Weiser publishing it in 2 volumes in 1973. This is the first printing of the Weiser single-volume edition. Corners of boards slightly bumped, a few minor imperfections to the cloth of the front board, a hint of bruising to the top corner of the text block. Otherwise a tight, bright and unmarked VG+ copy in mylar protected near-Fine dust jacket. Item #70099
