A poster advertising an exhibition of paintings: "Love & Mediocrity Paintings"
Plymouth: NP, ND (1976). An original 30 x 19 3/4 inch black on white printed poster advertising an exhibition of Robert Lenkiewicz's paintings. The text reads "Exhibition Love & Mediocrity Paintings: R. O. Lenkiewicz The Fool, 7, Clifton Street, Plymouth. 1 December - 24 December, 10am. - 6p.m. (1976) Admission 10p." The paintings were from section / theme Five of his "Relationship Series" - "Love & Mediocrity" which apparently dealt with ideas of fidelity, and various tensions within relationships. The exhibition was held at "The Fool" gallery in Plymouth in December 1976. Robert Oscar Lenkiewicz (1941 - 2002) was a renowned British artist, Hermeticist, and student of the alchemical arts, who was also well-known as an eccentric and book-collector. A few light marks, a few small creases around the corners and edges. A small tear on one side closed on the reverse with what appears to be tissue tape. Overall VG or better condition.
