The Triangular Book of St. Germain.
Emerald City [Seattle]: Ouroboros Press, 2015. Deluxe Full-Leather Edition. Hardcover. Bound in the shape of an equilateral triangle (each side 6 3/4 inches). 46 unnumbered pages. Full red leather binding with gilt design to front cover, raised bands and gilt rules to spine. Marbled endpapers. Text and illustrations in multiple colours.
Text in English and French. The full-leather issue limited to 26 copies. The limitation of this edition was described by the publisher in the colophon: "The edition is limited to 500 copies in three editions. 26 special copies bound in full leather accompanied by a hand-wrought silver Longevity Talisman features in the original manuscript. 26 copies in full leather and 444 copies bound in letterpress wraps." Thus this is one of the "26 copies in full leather" that does not include the talisman. The text is drawn from an untitled 18th-century French text written in code, which is either attributed to or said to have been in the ownership of the legendary Count of St. Germain. It details a series of magical operations which can enable the practitioner to extend their life, discover treasure, etc. "This edition of the Triangular Book was deciphered, transcribed and translated by Nick Koss, who also executed the research and editing of the text." Fine condition. Will require insurance charges additional to the postage cost automatically quoted. Once we know the destination we will quote the appropriate extra amount needed. Item #70702
