Item #70856 The Treasure House of Images sub figura DCCCCLXIII. J. F. C. FULLER, Aleister Crowley related.

The Treasure House of Images sub figura DCCCCLXIII.

San Francisco, CA: [ OTO ] Stellar Visions, 1987. First Edition Thus. Large format softcover. Quarto (11 x 8 1/2 inches), 82pp.+ "Velobound": Flexible clear plastic front cover sheet over pale grey black-printed thin card cover, dark blue plastic rear cover, the whole secured together with a dark blue plastic back strip. Hand-colored endsheets. B&w diagrams. A facsimile reprint of "The Treasure House of Images" from "The Equinox, Vol. I, No. 3." Crowley considered this essay to be the most important of Fuller's writings. This edition published by the well-known OTO figure Ebony Anpu and his co-publisher Lotte Lieb (Sr Iahan) under the Stellar Visions imprint as part of an effort to make available out-of-print and hard-to-find Crowley titles in the 1980s. The verso of the title page has a series of quotes from the Grady McMurtry versus the Marcelo Motta court case of 1985, whilst the final leaf has a statement about the O.T.O. on the recto. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A few signs of light use and handling, but overall a tight, unmarked VG+ copy. Item #70856
