Trevor Hall, a well-known expert and author on psychical research, examines the life and apparently remarkable feats of the famous Scottish spiritualist Daniel Dunglas Home (1833 – 1886) to determine whether he was indeed a genuine medium, or a fraud. Home, one of the most famous of the nineteenth century mediums, was renowned for "psychic feats" including levitation (once allegedly floating out of a third-story window), bodily elongation, etc. Just a hint of use & shelfwear, private library blind seal at lower corner of title-page, otherwise a tight and clean near Fine copy in near Fine dust jacket.
