Fallen Visionary: Refractions. Cuming Museum 2010.
London: Jerusalem Press, 2012. First Edition. Softcover. Large octavo. 200pp. Double sided color dust jacket over limp card covers with metallic title label. Color plates and illustrations. Limited to 500 copies. Effectively a companion to the "Cockney Visionary" volume, which focused on the 2010 Austin Osman Spare Exhibition held at the Cuming Museum in South London. This work contains complete transcriptions of the talks delivered at the exhibition by Judy Aitken, Phil Baker, Geraldine Beskin, Christopher Jordan, Ross MacFarlane, Stephen Pochin, Michael Staley, William Wallace, and Caroline Wise, along with reproductions of related images. It also includes detailed photographs of the displays, a fully illustrated list of the 110 works (including cabinet objects) that were displayed, and a more detailed survey of the loan items than was given in "Cockney Visionary." In an interesting touch the sequence of self-portraits by Spare as they were displayed at the museum is reproduced in the inside of the dust jacket. A pristine unused copy in Fine condition. Out of print and scarce. Item #72619
