Edition limited to 350 numbered copies, this being copy number 23 (there were also 16 lettered copies). A short but intereseting memoir of Crowley by Alan Burnett-Rae who first got to know Crowley in 1934, and remained a friendly acquaintance for six years until he drifted out of Crowley's orbit after the beginning of the Second World War. The book also includes four (then) unpublished poems by Crowley from his "Book of Oaths" supplied to the publishers by Gerald Yorke. The publishers - whose names were combined to give the "Victim" of the "Victim Press" imprint were Victor Hall and Tim D'Arch Smith. Covers slightly darkened, lightly rubbed but still a tight, clean VG+ copy. Item #73200
