Magick. Section 4 (ONLY) [ Magick In Theory and Practice - Section 4 ].

Paris: Lecram Press, [ 1929 ]. First Edition. Softcover. Section 4 ONLY (of Four). Quarto. Original red printed wrapper with unicursal hexagram design on front wrapper. pp. 303 - 406. Fore- & bottom-edges untrimmed. Diagrams. The final (4th) section of the 4 Part, paper-wrappered true first issue of Crowley's magnum opus, "Magick in Theory and Practice" (also known as "Book 4, Part III"). Hailed by Crowley as "the first complete treatise on Magick to be published", "Magick" is commonly regarded as one of his most important works. This section contains a collection of Qabalistic correspondences, and some of Crowley's most important rituals: Appendix V: A few of the Principal Correspondences of the Qabalah Reprinted with Additions from 777; Appendix VI: A few principal Rituals: Grimorium Sanctissimum; Liber XXV - The Star Ruby; Liber XXXVI - The Star Sapphire; Liber XLIV - The Mass of the Phoenix; Liber V vel Reguli; Liber XV - O.T.O. - Ecclesiae Gnosticae Catholicae Canon Missae; Appendix VII: A few of the principal instructions authorised by the A.'.A.'.: Liber HHH - continet Capitula Tria: MMM, AAA, et SSS; Liber E vel Exercitiorum; Liber O vel Manus et Sagittae; Liber Astarte vel Berylli; Liber RV vel Spiritus; Liber Yod; Liber Thisharb; Liber B vel Magi; Liber Resh vel Helios; Liber III vel Jugorum; Liber Cheth vel Vallum Abiegni; Liber A'ash vel Capricorni Pneumatici; and Liber A vel Armorum. NOTE: This copy has obviously belonged to someone with a serious interest in the subject: about half-a-dozen pages have pen and pencil annotations. The penmanship is neat and legible, and the comments thoughtul: the unknown author is clearly familiar with the subject and quotes from other of Crowley's works. Unfortunately there is no name or date given but by the style of writing it probably dates from the 1940s. Wrappers a little discolored, and with some light chipping to the rear wrapper. A little creasing to the corners of the text-block. Overall a VG+ copy of this fragile volume, which obviously has an interesting history, which may be revealed with further research. Item #73218
