Royal blue cloth with gold stamped title ("Liber XXI") to spine and front cover. Pages deckle-edged. Frontispiece reproducing a drawing by Crowley, frontis and text printed in blue. Originally published by Crowley in 1939 in an edition of 100 copies (of which arguably less than a quarter were distributed) the book was first reprinted by Helen Parsons-Smith, under her Thelema publications imprint in 1973. In 1974 she brought out this new edition. Aside from a binding difference, the text has been reset, and this new edition also has a reproduction of a previously-unpublished drawing by Crowley. There were two main issues of this new edition, one (with silver titling on the front board) was limited to 100 numbered copies, and the other (with gold titling on the front board) was un-numbered. Presumably they were issued more or less simultaneously, although this is not certain. This copy is the unumbered (gold-stamped) issue. One tiny pale speck on front cover, otherwise a tight, bright, clean, near-fine copy. No dustjacket - none issued. Item #73299
