The Key of the Mysteries
London: Rider & Company, 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 216pp. Black cloth with green and white lettering to spine, Index. Several b/w illustrations. Described by Aleister Crowley as representing the "high water mark" of Levi's thought. Crowley's translation was first published in separate book-form in 1959 and this is first UK edition. Merest hint of bruising to head and tail of spine, page edges very slightly toned, contemporary Samuel Weiser book label on front pastedown. Else a tight, bright near-Fine copy in near-Fine dust jacket (a touch of shelf-wear. Price-clipped. Now protected by removable clear mylar cover). Probably as close to "new" as it would be possible to find a 66 year old book, and surprisingly uncommon, especially in such nice condition. Item #74026
Price: $400.00
