An account of existence on the "spirit plane" focussing on soldiers killed in the First World War. The author lost three relatives in the war, including his brother, and claimed that he had been able to travel to the "spirit plane" to commune with them. Ward was also a prominent Freemason and is now most widely remembered for his later work "The Sign Language of the Mysteries" (1928) a study of symbolism written from a largely Masonic perspective. From the collection of Dr. M. H. Coleman, with his ex-libris seal blind-stamped on the front free endpaper.
