Although not acknowledged as such in the volume, there is no doubt that Hymenaus Beta was the main editor. "Commentaries on the Holy Books and Other Papers" is without doubt the major collection of Crowley's commentaries to the Holy Books. It includes his extensive commentary to Liber LXV, which provides an important account of the attainment of the "Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel." Boards lightly bruised and a little rubbed at head and tail of spine, text-block a little darkened at edges. Previous owner's name and acquisition year on front free endpaper. Overall a tight, bright, clean VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket (the dust jacket has a little light chipping to the edges, and the panels show a little light shelf rubbing. Not price-clipped although price has been neatly struck through with a felt-tip pen. Now protected by a removable mylar sleeve.). Item #74498
