Liber Thirty-One [ Liber XXXI ].
Marietta GA: Luxor Press, Inc., 1998. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. x + 66pp. Glossy white covers illustrated with a numerical pattern, appendices, black and white in text illustrations. Frater Achad (Charles Stansfeld Jones, 1886-1950) was, for a number of years, Crowley's chief disciple. Crowley came to the conclusion that Jones was his "magical son", born of his sex magical workings with Jeanne Foster in 1915, and later recognised him as the child prophesied in "The Book of the Law," who would unlock "mysteries that no Beast shall divine. Achad felt that "Liber XXXI," was the key to "The Book of the Law," explaining it in a way unknown to Crowley. This edition is edited and annotated from Frater Achad's original typescript, and includes a Preface by T. Allen Greenfield and "a new Introduction by Frater Achad, extracted from personal letters." Quite scarce in this edition. This copy appears unread: it has just a hint of shelf-wear, but otherwise "as New", thus near Fine condition inside and out. Item #74535
