Egyptian patterned endpapers. The 2017 Red Wheel / Weiser Books edition of "The Book of Thoth" released to mark the 60th anniversary of the Weiser publishing imprint. "This new collector's edition is limited to one printing, with a special run of 3,000 copies" and there was a deluxe leather-bound issue limited to 22 copies. Both sound out remarkably quickly. For the most part the volume was a faithful reproduction of the 1969 Samuel Weiser Inc edition, but with the illustrations of the Thoth Tarot cards rephotographed from the original artworks, and (in the case of the eight colour-printed designs) colour-corrected. Printed colour endpapers reproduce the Egyptian motif that appeared on the boards of the 1944-published O.T.O. first edition. While matching the original design, the dust jacket also features updated art and the text has been digitally restored and printed on a heavy, coated paper-stock. Appears "as New" thus a bright, clean Fine copy in near-Fine dust jacket (the dust jacket has the merest hint of shelf-wear, now in protective mylar cover). Item #74740
